Diabetes

Type II diabetes usually has an adult onset though, it can be acquired in teen years. In fact, it has been increasing in younger populations with the increase in child obesity. The body organs involved with Type II diabetes include the stomach, intestines, pancreas, and liver. Important enzymes fail to maintain balance with the over abundance of ingested sugar and the body’s immediate need for sugar. The pepsin enzyme and hydrochloric acid (HCl) in the stomach, and pancreatic enzymes can be over-burdened by a diet high in carbohydrates. This imbalance can eventually result in a variety of metabolic disorders including diabetes.

Increasing fiber in the diet, decreasing dietary carbohydrates, eating whole foods, decreasing processed foods, eating more protein from organic and naturally raised chicken, beef, lamb and wild caught fish can help stave off the onset and lessen the impact of Type II diabetes.

Omega3 fatty acids, supplemented with the elimination of trans fats in the diet, will diminish the burden on body organs while increasing the effectiveness of pepsin and other digestive enzymes in the stomach and liver. The correct herbal supplements can also be beneficial.

Diabetes is known for its side effects including the neurological effects on sight and an impaired sensation in extremities. The gastrointestinal tract can also be impaired with fecal incontinence as one of the unfortunate results. There can also be neurological effects on sight as well as odd sensation in the extremities, and gastrointestinal involvement including some degree of fecal incontinence.
